House Beating

House Beating

is a performance-installation artwork evolved around Architecture of Modernism and Contemporary. Le Corbusier’s and Iannis Xennakis’ revolutionary concepts of performing space get reinterpreted and recontextualized in relation with newly emerged city buildings: connecting with their surfaces, rooms, sensations…

At the core of the performers there is a sensitive but powerful duo between Hygin Delimat and Elias Buttinger who explore borderline, architectural possibilities of their bodies confronted with a giant, organically morphing wooden structure, to sounds of a reworked Xennakis’ and Cage’s compositions. House Beating exposes and celebrates the process of emergence, creation, live construction.
