Slowstepper

Slowstepper – On The Edge Of Survival

On The Edge Of Survival. In the essential need for Survival we are not different than other species. They all need food, proper environment to live in. However, what is that only we-humans need for survival? Or is the sphere of living beyond survival the actual thing that differentiates us from other organisms?

Survival is visible in physical dualities: weak-strong, virtuous-vulnerable… On one side, there is Body on the edge, Body in crisis, Body of a plane crash survivor, Body drained of water, and energy. Yet, there also exists a superhero of Survival through trained, and prepared Body, Body of extreme sports, Body of Power. Movement is the main drive of the performance. Slowstepper explores extremes in terms of inner resistance, speed, duration, and a potential beauty that happens in consequence.

Tardigrades (Water Bears) are omnipresent microscopic animals that can survive almost in every condition on Earth regardless of extreme temperature, pressure, or radiation (also Space vacuum). Tardigrade is latin for stepping slowly.

The B-Team

The B-Team

The amazing B-Team consists of 4 professional stage heroes that are bound by friendship and the shared loyalty to the cause of saving the World. The newest creation revisits the 80s Hollywood’s action hero ethos (as seen in Rambo, Die Hard, Terminator…) in a contemporary context. Today’s masculinity/male-ness gets portrayed through a dynamic and humorous expressive language of action hero dance comedy within exciting landscapes of constantly morphing stageset. The piece is made to be enjoyable by all generations of audiences.

House Beating

House Beating

is a performative artwork that spans across media of choreography, composition, and art installation. It evolved from a practice of embodying the ideals of modernist architecture. Together, the collective of artists (re)interprets Le Corbusier’s and Xennakis’ revolutionary concepts of performing space and recontextualizes them in the contemporary architectural reality. Powerful physical choreography consists of complex partnering movement vocabulary rooted in urban dance and the study of bodily innate architecture. House Beating explores borderline physical abilities of the body in dialogue with an organically morphing wooden entity. The work anticipates the moment of emergence, creation, construction. The organic and the inorganic continously meet and engage in the shared process of space creation. Virtuosic musical score inspired by Xennakis and Cage compositions for percussion is the driving motor of the performance.
